Fabricator Welder / Moray, Scotland
We are an established design, manufacturing and fabrication company for the agricultural industry based near Elgin, Moray looking for an experienced fabricator/welder.
Job Description
The position will include:
•To carry out welding/fabrication work as directed, ensuring that stated quality, safety standards and associated procedures are met both on-site and within our workshop.
•Welding method is typically MIG, with some TIG & MMA welding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
•Working to engineering drawings.
•Carry out duties with minimum supervision using own initiative to plan, problem solve and prioritise workload within set timescales.
•Checking that finished products comply with required specifications. Ability to visually inspect welds to determine compliance with standards.
•Ensure standards of good housekeeping and safety are achieved in all work areas, including workshops, stores, vehicles and at on-site locations.
A basic weld test will be given at interview.
Requirements
•Ability to fabricate from engineering drawings and use own initiative when building research and development projects.
•Competent in multi-positional MIG with some experience of TIG and MMA.
•Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•Understanding of current safety legislation.
•Good team player but the ability to work on their own if required.
•Licence: Forklift (desirable)
Acceptable Experience and Training: Two years of experience as a skilled welder/fabricator, or the completion of a recognised apprenticeship. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
The position would suit an applicant who is reliable, and skilled in fabrication, but also willing to learn, and who can work under their own initiative or as part of a team.
The role can be physically demanding and involve working at heights and lifting/moving heavy materials and equipment, therefore any candidates applying would need to consider their suitability in these situations.
Salary & Conditions
Working hours: Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm

Workshop and Site Assistant
We are an established design, manufacturing and fabrication company for the agricultural industry based near Elgin, Moray looking for a Workshop and Site Assistant initially on a 3-month contract with the possibility of the role to turn permanent.
Job Description
The position will include.
•Supporting the engineering team on-site and in the workshop
•Basic metalwork tasks, welding, fabrication (training will be provided)
•Final finishing of mild and stainless parts.
•Handling deliveries, paperwork and stock organisation
•General housekeeping duties
•Moving of equipment and materials
•Working to company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
•Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•Understanding of current safety legislation.
•Good team player but the ability to work on their own if required.
